What are the benefits to me of your hosted & converged proposition over traditional PBX and ISDN systems?

Your telecommunications systems will grow with your business

Growing a new business is capital intensive. With Ash Telecom Connection’s Hosted PBX service, you need only rent the telephone capacity you require, limiting expenditure on capital equipment items and negating costly upfront investment.

No throwing out existing equipment - extend the life of your PBX

With Ash Telecom Connection’s Hosted PBX service, you can keep the investment in your existing PBX but add new VoIP users for a monthly rental, when required, integrated into the same dialling group. This allows you to migrate to an all IP network at your own pace.

Making best use of limited in house technical skills

You’re not a telecoms company, so you shouldn’t need to employ technical people. Ash Telecom Connection provides a complete solution so you don’t need to worry about in house support and training for software, systems, switches etc. Maintenance and configuration of the system is straightforward and we provide training to your staff.

Easily accommodate increasing staff numbers – no lumpy investments

We provide flexibility to add additional numbers and services for new starters whenever you want, in an instant. You can either provision these new users yourself, or call us with your requirements.

Deal with a single supplier – one point of responsibility

By dealing with one supplier for your PBX, mobile and internet requirements, you save time and resources through a single support and billing contact.

Am I too small or large for Ash Telecom Connection?

Whilst our Nortel system is designed for huge call and user loading with no degradation in response time or call quality, whether you have one employee or thousands, our Nortel switch will provide the same high level of service and reliability, all for one monthly cost per user. The beauty of this approach to your telecommunications requirements is that you can have large company facilities and flexibility in your small business right from the start, without the upfront investment.

Ash Telecom Connection has telecommunications solutions that scale from small businesses right through to large corporate companies, incorporating

  • Multi-branch offices
  • Teleworkers – full and part time
  • Home workers
  • Mobile workers – at home and worldwide

Should I wait to deploy IP-based communications until the standards are more mature?

There are already many mature standards that are invoked to make an IP call. Ash Telecom Connection believe in selecting technology that uses open standards so that you will maximise your investment in existing applications, technology and processes. As new protocols become standard they will be integrated into the IP-based communications system to further protect your investment.

If I deploy IP-based business communications I will have to throw away my existing investment in traditional voice solutions?

No, Ash Telecom Connection’s solutions allow you to migrate at your preferred pace based on your business need. Migration can be on a site-by-site, group-by-group or application-by-application basis.

Are IP-based business communications secure?

Yes Ash Telecom Connection’s IP Telephony is secure and reliable.

Ash Telecom Connection believes that the confidentiality and security of business transactions, of customer and internal databases and of computer resource is of paramount importance. Ash Telecom Connection consciously integrates multiple layers of security into the fabric of its network design and infrastructure.  For more information please call one of our consultants on 0844 8467707 and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have and perhaps work out a personalised tariff proposal to suit your call expenditure.

recognises that its security policy is most effective when it is an inherent component of the network.  In practice, Ash Telecom Connection 's security policy is founded on assessment and preparation, prevention, response, and continuous review.  There is no compromise with respect to security.

There are three critical components:

Privacy – via secure connectivity. Using technologies such as IPSec and VPNs help to  ensure that the communications over the LAN and WAN are secure.

Protection – via defense systems using technologies such as firewalling and intrusion prevention to combat threats from internal and external sources.

Control – via trust and identity systems to control access to information.

Is the implementation more expensive than a traditional TDM system?

Although the typical IP phone costs the same or less than an equivalent desk phone, there can be substantial savings from running a converged IP network for voice, video and data

How can fixed mobile convergence help me?

Make your office a wireless office

Deploying wifi in your office means you can use your mobile (subject to model) as your PBX extension. Not only can you benefit from added mobility at the work place, meaning you need never miss a call, but you can also benefit from a full range of PBX functions, eliminating the requirement for fixed phones or an on site PBX.

Mobilise your workforce

GSM and 3G phones can now also be offered with features that integrate with our Hosted IP Telephony services, giving users more control of how and when they can be contacted.

Mobile email access

You can now receive email on your mobile phone (subject to mobile phone model), meaning you need only carry one device for all your communication requirements.

Use a single contact number

You can now use a single number on your business card that will route on various conditions that you can define on your web based user profile. This ‘find me follow me’ feature will route to any combination of mobile or fixed line numbers.

Manage your call routing or profiles from your mobile device

GSM and 3G phones are available that integrate with our hosted VoIP service, giving users more control of how and when they can be contacted. Users are able to activate a number of predefined profiles that specify how their calls should be dealt with when they are out of the office, in a meeting or at home.

What does Ash Telecom Connection bring to my Company?

High growth businesses provide a challenge for communications infrastructure for many reasons such as existing telephone systems that need to be enhanced or replaced; satellite offices and mobile workers that need to be integrated into the same dialling plan; services that need to be flexible to respond to immediate business requirements; resources that are stretched coping with multiple technologies and suppliers.

Features to overcome these challenges

Enhanced functionality such as conference calling and a single voicemail box for all users including home and mobile

Low set up costs (utilises your existing PBX investments) with one predictable monthly ongoing cost per user

Lower call costs through IP telephony than with traditional “per minute” systems or least cost routing functionality

Flexibility (the customer can add users or change services through a web interface) and usage visibility (full system reporting tools)

Security – all connections are IPSEC secured

One supplier to simplify installation, moves, billing and customer care
